Here I post about my knitting, my dogs, my garden and other things that keep me busy. Hundgestrickt is a word that I invented combining the German words for "dog" and for "knit" making it similar to "handgestrickt" for handknit (think of "houndknit") as that's what this blog is mostly about :-)

Have a nice Sunday
Weatherforecast talked about lots of clouds for today. And rain. So I thought I'd take the chance of taking an early sunny picture...

A finished sock
... came off my needles today! I had started to knit with this yarn back in spring and wanted to make a lacy summer sock. Wasn't happy with all the patterns I chose in combination with the yarn (Knit Picks "Dancing").
Had the started toe with about an inch of patterned foot in my bag for weeks, then in the drawer for more weeks.
Now that I am off work for what was planned as a nice fall break BUT I got a nasty cold so I spend a lot of my time on the couch. Knitting.
First finished the grey striped socks for Sweetheart, then found my "summer" sock in the drawer. Decided to try plain stockinette stitch and that's it! Love the colours this way. Sock fits perfectly with the heel that fits just the same way as when I knit from the cuff down.
Now I hope that the second one goes as fast as that last part of the first one but I am positive as I still need some quiet time to relax and get fit again!

Have a great week
Only one more day of getting up early, then we'll be off work for two weeks and a half :)
Can you see the green shimmer above Flavie's head? That's the winter wheat already poking out of the ground.
