Chicken pot holder

It was love at first sight when I saw these on Miss Holly's blog "Seaview"! Thought I could figure out from the pictures how to make them and here you go:

Just love this little gal and now she needs a friend! So I need to get a new ball of white cotton... or I could make her a creme or brown companion - I'll see!

Thank you, Miss Holly , for sharing the pictures!

Thanks for coming over!

Tina

Edit: I had written the post earlier and came back now to add the picture and in the meantime the second chicken is growing, in cream :-) just couldn't wait!

  1. So cute Tina; I used to crochet, but with my arthritis it has been quite a while. I do enjoy seeing your projects.

  8. Thank you so much for your lovely comments! I had a busy week and only got back here today...
Rita, so sorry that you can't crochet any more, but such a small object could be easy, just a few stitches at a time...
Thanks Caron, and you are welcome! Curious to see your knitting, too!
Inthesky, Karen, Virginia, I knew exactly that you'd like these! Go ahead, whip one up, I am sure you'll figure it out, too. Wouldn't it be great to see the chicken family spread over all our blogs?
Miss Holly, I think the pattern would be greatly appreciated in the blog world, you could even publish it on Ravelry for more people to see it. I think it is a nice and easy to do potholder, hotpad, dishcloth, or washcloth for chickenfans. And I am absolutely with you on the nice and gentle world that can be created on the web through our blogs, find friends with the same interests all over the world and have them in our living room or craft room for a cuppa with a mouseclick. I am happy to be a part of this :-)
