She really enjoys wearing it, it seems to me, as she appreciates the extra warmth!
Pattern is a great one from Terri: http://royea.sasktelwebsite.net/side_button_greyhound_sweater.pdf and I just made the belly band longer so it actually covers Bisou's naked belly. Almost naked belly. The original is made with thicker yarn fitting a small greyhound and I just used the same numbers using sock yarn. Great fit!
Thanks for coming over!
Tina
That's so sweet your knit is appreciated! Needless to say I will never be knitting for my fluffy friend so I do enjoy seeing how other knitters are "dressing" theirs!
ReplyDeleteShe looks SO groovy!
ReplyDeleteI never thought I would knit for my dogs either - but then I got those small doggies with less hair than the big ones, especially that "nearly naked rat terrier" with restricted movement during cold times and I looked for the right pattern... needless to say I prefer if dogs bring their own "wooly equipment" :-)
ReplyDeleteBtw Flavie hates wearing anything (even harness) and only gets close when I have put that damn thing on someone else...

Hi, thank you for the lovely comments on my blog! i love you dog coats!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Cindy!
ReplyDeleteso cute! I love the yarn and the striping!
ReplyDeleteTerri, thanks for this great pattern! When I had to start the second ball for the back I had to wind some yarn off the ball to get to the right point of the pattern repeat - but I think it was worth it as I too love how the striping came out on this rattie sweater.
ReplyDeleteLove the sweater!
