Boss socks

Can't believe it is September already. My boss left work for his retirement this week and it feels like it was yesterday when we said "oh thats still far away". As I am known there also for knitting, during breakfeast and lunch breaks - and he is know for lots of outdoor activities I knit him a pair of thick socks, yarn doubled for extra warmth (oh what a quick knit) and incorporated the logo of our company to the outside of the legs (not visible here) so he won't forget us. Hope he likes them!
Sorry for the bad picture- I only took two and this is the lighter one... Colour is a dark jeans blue, with the logo, heel and toe in a lighter blue.

Doggies

Today I went for a swim with Dingo. We swam both. It was fun, though I have to take a toy or a stick with me or he will stay outside.
Hey there, you with your black thing in front of your face, play with me!!!

Goodbye Josy

She will stay in our hearts forever.

Summer fun

Yesterday was a perfect summer day. Went to the little lake in the evening. Flavie finally swims, not far but it's a start!

Dingo as always wants to get after every stick. Even the "easy" ones that are intended d for the little one. "Mom, can't you throw?", jumps in and gets it out before she even has decided to get in...

And here's the link to my old blog with a real swimming Dingo pic: http://hundgestrickt.myblog.de/hundgestrickt/art/1570008/

These are our lillies. Colourway is called "Cappucino" and that was indeed what the picture in the catalogue looked like - creamy white with dark brown spots. If anytime my cappucino would look like these, I wouldn't drink it because I'd fear it were poisened... But I do like their soft orange and they fit perfectly in where they sit so they stay where they are.
They also had visits from those beautiful red shiny bugs called lilly beetles but I think they survived quite ok.

Regia Galaxy socks

Here they are. I finally managed to finish something! They are ok in the end I even found some "galaxies". It really depends so much on the stitches per round.

Theres always the sun behind the clouds

Somethimes it is just hard to believe...

Hey, I am still here!

And this is the sock that I am currently knitting on:
Regia Galaxy - and I am disappointed. I like the colours but I had hoped more from the pattern they make. I will wear them but not buy that yarn again. I made from a different colour a pair for my Sweetheart - they were a bit better. I know it depends of the stitches per round and how loose or tight you knit and I already have played with that a bit. The second one is nearly done, too and I will like them as they are warm and comfy. And differnet from "selfstriped".
