New pics of the gang

It is so nice to take them for a walk when the sun shines, but you can't imagine how they look when the ground is wet and sticky. A damp microfiber towel is my best friend right now! The girls are somewhat careful where they walk but sometimes all the lane is just one muddy puddle and there is no help getting at least dirty feet and som splashes of brown in the white coats ;-). Peio on the other hand doesn't care where he walks, an jumping into puddles is the biggest fun, or just walking through, or stepping in the deep mud while there is grass at the side...

But these pics are from a sunny day when the ground had dried off a bit:

Can you see the dog?

Promising

Isn't this branch promising? In the middle of winter there is already the new life in these buds, ready for spring to come. Right now it isn't "wintery" at all, with lots of rain and temperatures around ten degrees Celsius during the days. The fields and paths are very muddy, most days are just dark and grey. Still I try to find the tiny bit of light in each of them!

This is the shortest day of the year with the longest night yet to come.  The sun just crossed the equator again. The wheel of the year keeps turning and a new and fresh canvas full of hopes and dreams lies in front of us...

Sunny Sunday walk

It is cold

Just took this pic of our thermometer. -12,1°C. And I think it will still get colder in the next hours until the sun finally will come up. The sensor for the outdoor temp is hanging under the table on the patio right behind the house. The cold wind from the north east makes it even worse.
Not often is it this cold around here. I prefer this dry cold to rain at around 5°C though.
The dog-girls don't like it but old Dingo loves it.

As the sun is shining from a bright blue sky I decided to post a quick "middle of the month" garden picture taken with my iPhone.

Sunday walk

Here are a few pictures that I just took on our walk that took us close to the ponds. It had rained before as it often does right now at temps between 5 and 10 °C. Wind makes it feel colder a bit. We were lucky enough that the sun came out but on the last meters before getting home it started raining again.

 The boy staying close to me while the girls running ahead to explore the world when let off leash and hearing the bloved "go".

 It is amazing how green the field looks already with the winter wheat sown late in fall.

 The lanes are very muddy and the soil is soaked.

 Now all I see looking around me is this:

Sunny January Sunday

Back from an early afternoon walk under the bluest sky in the brightest sunshine. Had the camera with me but it is hard to take nice pictures when you are out alone with one doggie on the leash and the others exploring mice tracks or rubbish lying around in three different directions. But we had fun!

So beautiful in profile, too. Look at her shadow!
